Wall Insulation

Nothing much has happened lately due to corona virus lockdown. All the shops closed and I was stuck waiting on them to open again. Today they opened!! Sort of – online ordering and pick up in carpark only. So I order a bunch of stuff from Bunnings and got back to work:

Insulating the walls with polystyrene foam

I’ve slept in the truck a couple of times already, and although it’s super comfy I can hear everything outside. Cars going past, waves, joggers from 5am & your mum snoring.

Ideally I’d like to sleep in a sensory deprivation chamber. I don’t want to see or hear anything. I’m not sure how to make it completely sound proof but the plan right now is to put polystyrene foam on the walls then carpet over that. Black carpet, so it looks like night.

I forgot to buy glue so I just cut the pieces of foam slightly too big and forced them in. They hold well enough 🙂

3 x polystyrene foam sheets + $36.36

Total: $8,961
